Funway Park

Below are are twelve views of Funway Park, the original Funway BallTM park. I completed Funway Park in 1995.

I built Funway Park because I realized that the game, Funway BallTM, required a stadium in which to be played. As a red Sox fan, Fenway Park became the model for Funway Park.

It was after I had built and completed Funway Park, that I realized that “O” gauge railroad figures (e.g., people, cars, benches, etc.) were the perfect fit for my park.

I was delighted when I found the two teams of “O” gauge baseball figures in a hobby shop in New Britain, Connecticut, shortly after completing the stadium.

In addition, I found 16 “O” gauge antique automobiles, vintage 1910 to 1912, which I put around the stadium. These automobiles were the makes and models of cars that would have been at Fenway Park when it opened in the spring of 2012.

I have written a complete set of rules for Funway BallTM. These rules are adapted for each park that I build.

I have built four additional parks which you can see on my website. I am also in the process of building a sixth Funway BallTM park, which will be complete in the fall of 2017.
